You get home from the hospital and you’re changing endless diapers – yours & your baby’s!
Sleep deprivation has gotten the best of you.
All of a sudden you realize your baby is growing SO FAST and you simply cannot stop time.
Is it too late for newborn photos??

A lifestyle newborn session is a photography session that takes place in your home and focuses on connection rather than posing. We can do these anywhere from 3-12 weeks.
Your baby is still the center of everything, but instead of trying to get baby to sleep deeply for posed setups, we lean into natural moments.
Feeding your baby, rocking them in your arms, tiny stretches on your bed, sibling kisses, and those quiet in between moments that you will want to remember later.
This is real life with a new baby.
Documented in a gentle and intentional way.
Between 3 and 12 weeks, your baby is starting to wake up more to the world. You will notice more eye contact, more expression, and more little personality moments starting to show.
This is also when babies start to settle into more predictable rhythms, even if sleep is still unpredictable.
What this means for photos is that we capture more connection and interaction. You’ll see your baby looking at you, responding to your voice, and being more present in the moment.
It’s not better or worse than those early newborn days. It holds its own uniqueness.

There’s no pressure for your home to look perfect. Most families are surprised by how simple it actually is.
We usually move through a few natural areas in your home like your bedroom, nursery, and living room if the light is good.
I guide you through everything gently so you are never wondering what to do with your hands or how to position your baby.
Most of the session is simply you being with your baby.
I am there to notice the small things you are too close to see in the moment.
I always recommend keeping things soft, neutral, and comfortable.
Think simple textures, light colors, and outfits that feel like you. For baby, a simple onesie or diaper with a swaddle works perfectly.
The most important preparation is not about your house being spotless. It is about choosing a space with good natural light and letting go of perfection.
Babies do not need perfect conditions. They need you.
Traditional newborn sessions are usually done within the first 5 to 14 days after birth when babies are very sleepy and flexible for posed images.
Lifestyle newborn sessions happen later, when baby is more alert and interactive.
Both are meaningful. They just tell different parts of your story.
If you missed the early window, this session gives you a way to still document this chapter in a beautiful and intentional way.

I conduct lifestyle newborn sessions in Jacksonville and surrounding areas, usually in your home so everything feels relaxed and easy for you.

This isn't an investment in vanity. This is an investment in your legacy - what gets passed down to future generations. Maybe even to those you never get a chance to meet.
